Faces of Me

Faces of Me is a deeply personal series of self-portraits that explores identity, emotion, and transformation through the many versions of self we carry within. Each portrait reveals a different facet of Rahimat Onize Shaibu’s inner world, moments of strength, vulnerability, faith, and rebirth, woven together through visual symbolism and storytelling. Using her own image as a canvas, she reflects on the fluid nature of identity and the constant evolution that comes with growth, womanhood, and creative self-discovery.
Through costume, gesture, and light, the series becomes both an intimate diary and a universal mirror, inviting viewers to see themselves in her journey of becoming, and to embrace the beauty of change that lives in us all.
