Silent Resistance

Silent Resistance reinterprets “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” as intentional acts of boundary-making. Flowers replace the eyes and mouth, serving as a deliberate decision about what is allowed to enter and what is released into the world.

Here, flowers symbolise goodness, growth, love and life, suggesting that silence can be a mindful choice to nurture what is positive rather than amplify harm. To speak no evil is not to remain voiceless, but to speak with intention.

While flowers are traditionally associated with beauty and renewal, they also function as gentle barriers, holding space between expression and restraint. This duality reflects the emotional complexity of silence, how it can protect, heal and cultivate peace while still carrying weight.

Set against a stark, minimal backdrop, the series invites reflection on inner discipline and emotional responsibility. Silent Resistance asks the viewer to consider silence as an ethical act, one that prioritises growth, intention and self-preservation over noise.

Silent Triangle (2025)

Silent Triangle emerged as a culmination of the Silent Resistance series. By bringing the three gestures together into a single triangular composition, the work transforms individual acts of restraint into a unified structure.

The triangle becomes symbolic, of balance, containment and strength. What was once three separate boundaries becomes one interconnected system of protection. Silent Triangle visualises the architecture of silence, suggesting that emotional discipline is not passive, but constructed, deliberate and held in equilibrium.
